Sejm riddles
Sejm riddles - epigrams in the form of puzzles depicting portraits, usually satirical, deputies of the Sejm, four-year-old and other personalities of the time.
Epigrams were distributed anonymously in manuscript copies, most often in Warsaw, but also in the provinces. Versions of the songs changed depending on the current situation. The epigrams contained a positive or critical assessment of the activities of the various Members. They aimed at shaping the public and influencing attitudes and behavior of the nobility.
