Pykniospora

Pycnogenous, pyknospora, conidiospora or pyknokonidium (lycoponiasis, pyknospory, pyknokonidia) - a type of conidium, the spore of fungus resulting from asexual reproduction (mitosis). Pneumonia (pyknokonidia) occurs mainly in pancreas, rarely in basidiomas. They are very fine, have an ellipsoid shape, more or less elongated and may be straight or bent. They are formed in small forms called pycnids.

Pycniospores are formed from mycelium with haploid chromosome number, and this is derived from bazydiospor or ascospores. There are two types of pycnospors: pycniospores (+), derived from bazydiospores or ascospores (+) and pycniospores (-), derived from bazydiospores or ascospores (-).

In ubiquitous cereal rust (Puccinia graminis), pycniospores are single-celled, mononuclear and very small in size. They are spread by flies. Lycopene (Cladonia fimbriata) is a lycopene that is 7 to 8 × 1.5-2.5 μm in size.
