Jerson Ravelo


Jerson Ravelo (born July 30, 1977) is an American boxer from the Dominican Republic. In 2000 he represented the Dominican Republic at the Sydney Olympic Games. Amateur career

In 2000 he represented the Dominican Republic at the Sydney Olympic Games. In his first fight he lost to Australia (8: 9) with Australian Paul Miller, falling out of competition.

Ravelo participated in qualifying for the US Olympic Games, but dropped out in the initial round. Born in Dominican Republic, he was given the chance to represent the country during the Games. In 1998 he won the Golden Gloves, beating Julius Fogle in the finals.
