The coat of arms refers to the original name of the locality, which is the seat of the municipality. Gać was named Hawrilowagacz in 1375 and Gabrlowa Gać in 1424. The original name of the village was Gabriela Gać, probably from the name of the ranger or the first owner of the village. The word Gać means the fascist dike. The causeway actually existed in the village of Gać, and its traces can still be found today. The colors of the coat refer to the coat colors of the Przemysl land. History

Several localities in Gap have had their own seals in the past. On the seal of Gaci and Bialobok the emblem was an indefinite object, perhaps an agricultural tool. There was an oak triangular for Oak. The Ostrich seal was in human emblem with a sickle.

The variety of seals and the illegibility of some of them made it impossible to create a municipality's coat of arms on them.

The coat of arms was chosen in the online voting of the residents of the two proposals. In the second proposal at the Archangel site was the emblem of the coat of arms of the Szreniawa Lubomirskis, who were long-time owners of Gać goods. The coat of arms was approved by the Resolution No. XLIII / 278/2013 of 16 December 2013, after obtaining the favorable opinion of the Heraldic Committee.

The design of the coat was developed by Robert Fidura and Kamil Wójcikowski. Bibliography
