Bukovská Valley (Niżne Tatry)

Bukovská dolina - valley in the Low Tatras in Slovakia. It is located in the western (so-called Dziumber part) of the part of the Low Tatras, on the southern side of their main ridge. It has an outlet in the town of Brusno in the Bańska Bystrzyca district.

It is not a vale valley, because it does not reach the main ridge of the Low Tatras. The mountain is cut between two ridges of the Ondrejská hoľa (1597 m) peak. They form a side border of the valley. In the orographically right ridge separating the Bukowska Valley from the Sopotnicka Valley, there are Chabenec (1516 m), Mlynárová (1312 m) and Bukový diel (814 m) peaks. In the left ridge, separating it from the Jaseniańska Valley, there are: Ráztocká hoľa (1565 m), Matúšová (1176 m), Kopcová and other nameless hills.

The bottom of the valley is the Bukovec stream. In the central part of the valley, the Pohronský Bukovec estate belongs to the city of Brusno. An asphalt road leads to it, and it is a cycling trail. From the estate to the upper part of the valley, there is also a hiking trail next to the cycle trail. In the upper part of the valley there is a monument of the Slovak national uprising (SNP), and even higher, under the Matúšová summit, guerrilla bunkers.

Bukovská dolina has several small side branches, through which streams flow to Bukovec. These are the following valleys: Piliarova, Matúšová, Seče (left-handed) and Krivé (right-sided). Hiking trails Locksmith: Brusno - Bukovská Valley - Pohronský Bukovec - Bukovská Valley - Beech Works - Brusno Pohronský Bukovec - monument of the SNP - the Nad Kopcovou (crossing with the blue route).
