Jerzy Jezierski


Jerzy Jezierski (born 3 June 1951 in Olsztyn) is a Polish mathematician. Curriculum vitae

He studied mathematics in 1973 at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He then worked at the Institute of Mathematics at the University of Gdańsk, where in 1982 he defended his doctoral thesis Nielsen Number of fibrous projections, written under the supervision of Lech Górniewicz and in the Department of Mathematics of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Olsztyn. Since 1986 he is an employee of the Warsaw School of Economics, in the Department of Applied Mathematics. In 1999 he habilitated at the Mathematical Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences on the basis of the work of the Nielsen Theory of coincidence without the assumption of orientability. In 2010 he was awarded the title of professor of mathematical sciences.
