Emmanuel Plattner


Emmanuel Plattner (born May 29, 1935 in Maur) is a Swiss cross-country cyclist, road and track rider, bronze medalist of the cross-country championship. Career

Emmanuel Plattner's biggest success came in 1956, when he won the bronze medal in the elite category at the cross-country championship in Luxembourg. Only two Frenchmen were ahead of him: André Dufraisse and Georges Meunier. It was the only medal he won at an international event of that rank. He was also the sixth in the Limoges World Cup in 1958. He has won medals in cross country championships, including six golds. In 1956 he also won the Swiss championship in the road race of the joint amateurs, and twelve years later he was also the best on the track - won the race from the start of the retreat. He never performed at the Olympic Games. He ended his career in 1970. Bibliography
