Alena Mrázová


Doctor of Philosophy, Alena Mrázová (born October 6, 1958 in Bohumín) - Czech writer, translator and academic teacher.

She studied Romance Philology at the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University in Prague, also at the universities of Lisbon and Dijon. He deals with translations from Czech, Slovak, Russian, Polish, French, Portuguese and Spanish, and occasionally creates Czech subtitles for documentaries and feature films for Czech Television. He is also an academic teacher at the University of International and Public Relations in Prague, where he teaches French.

In 2007, thanks to the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Prague, her book was published: "Dům učitelů" (Teacher's House), and in 2009 the next - "Hodně jsme drunk from Léthé řeky" (We drank too much from Lete river) . The story "Vzkaz na Elfi Nitche" was part of the book "Dům učitelů". The author herself translated it into Polish. "Elfi Nitche Paper" was nominated for the 6th Prize of the Polish Book Art Competition - Świdnica 2013 and was published in Poznań in the summer of 2014 at the Albus Publishing House.
