Michał Woyna
Michał Hryczyna Woyna of the Trąby coat of arms (died 1634) - Czarist of 1629-1634, the royal tutelary, courtiers and royal captain, starost of Chwydow, Curriculum vitae
He was born in Lithuania, in the noble Woynów family of the Trąby coat of arms. He was the son of Matthias, courtier and court writer of Lithuanian grandmother, a mother from the Goslawski family.
He studied at the University of Ingolstadt in 1617 and at the University of Freiburg in 1619.
As a soldier, he gained combat experience during the suppression of the Umarine Uprising. During the war with Sweden (1626-1629) he fought as a captain at the head of his own hussar flag, first in Prussia then in Livonia. He was a participant in the triumphant battle with the Swedes at Treiden. According to Niesiecki, he led the Lithuanian forces in this clash. He died in 1634, during the war with Russia, Atol near Smoleńsk was unmotivated and struggled with health problems, soon lost his life.
He was the elector of Władysław IV Vasa from the Duchy of Żmudzki in 1632.
He was buried in the Franciscans in Pinsk. Bibliography
