Campana started his racing career in 1990 with the Italian Touring Car Championship. With a total of five points, he was ranked 24th overall. In subsequent years, he also appeared in the Masters of Formula 3, Italian Formula 3, British Formula 3, Monaco Formula 3 Grand Prix, Macau Grand Prix, FIA GT Championship, Euro Open by Nissan, Renault Sport Clio Trophy, German Supertour Championship and German Touring Car Challenge.
