Augusto Maccario
Augusto Maccario (born April 30, 1890 in Ventimiglia, October 16, 1927) is an Italian long-distance runner.
In 1919 he became the champion of Italy at 10,000 meters. In 1920 he started at the Olympic Games, where he performed in the 10,000 and 5000 m race and in the team race at 3000 m. In the first competition was 4. with the final time 32: 02.0 s. In the 5000 m race fell in the first round taking 6th place in his elimination run. In the team's run at 3000 m Italians from Maccario in the team placed in 5th position. He represented the Sport Club Virtus Genoa. Bibliography
