Theodor Joseph Blell (born 1 December 1827 in Konigsberg, died June 1, 1902 in Gross Lichterfelde near Berlin) is a German politician, deputy to the Reichstag, landlord.
He was Peter's son, merchant, Julia of Silberbach. He attended high schools in Königsberg and Chelmno, then studied law at the universities in Königsberg, Heidelberg and Wroclaw. For two years he worked as a referendum of the Court of Appeal in Königsberg (1853-1855). In 1855 he acquired the estate of Tungen (Bogatyńskie) near Ornnet, where he expanded the palace buildings and founded a chapel in the church. He was a collector of weapons, he donated his collection to the museum in Malbork. He belonged to the Party of the Center, from whom he was elected in 1871 to the Reichstag in the constituency Braniewo-Lidzbark Warminski (term until 1874). He opposed the dogma of Pope's infallibility and supported the Old Catholics. The family estate was transferred to his son Wolfgang, who sold him in 1882 to Count von Kanitz. Bibliography
