Electrical pearls - polish crime novel by Konrad Tomasz Lewandowski from 2008, first published by Dolnośląskie Publishing House with cover by Iwona Jabłońska.

The plot of the novel takes place in the first half of 1929, primarily in Poznan and partly (in the initial stage) in Warsaw. The protagonist is Jerzy Drwęcki, the superintendent conducting investigations into the murder at the tram depot at ul. Kawęczyńska in Warsaw. One of the workers was killed there, trapped in a transformer room and completely burned. Deleted from the case as a result of the pressure of revitalization Drwęcki, is transferred to Poznan, where it secures the works of art transferred to the National Exhibition of the country. The killer, however, does not give up and also moves to Poznan, where the decisive game takes place. The final is in the area of ​​Puszczykowo, near the railway station which does not exist. Drwęcki's partner is the Poznan commissioner - Michał Witkowiak, integral Catholic and supporter of Roman Dmowski (Drwęcki sympathizes with Piłsudski). The PeWuKi area is one of the novel arenas

The backdrop of the novel is the artistic bohemian environment of the interwar Poland (mainly Warsaw and Poznan), and especially those more or less connected with Stanisław Przybyszewski and his art. It is threatened. the daughter of Przybyszewski - Stanisława. Much emphasis is placed on showing the differences and antagonisms between the inhabitants of Warsaw and Poznan - both cultural and primarily political (the opposition between the Pilsudski and the national camp). There are frequent discussions and quarrels about the May assault, the Great Polish camp, or even prosecution, such as the consumption of pyr or soups.

In the novel there are numerous historical figures, among others. Janusz Kusociński, Franciszek Fiszer, Julian Tuwim, Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński, General Boleslaw Wieniawa-Długoszowski, Emil Zegadłowicz or Stanisław Hejmowski. There are also dishes of Wielkopolska cuisine. The reconstructed image of pre-war Poznan and the PeWuKi area was reconstructed. Frequently quoted are the Boy's-Żeleński's words and the Poznań dialect.
