Penitentiary Agricultural Colony

Penitentiary Farm Colony - a type of penitentiary with limited freedom, operating in the II RP. The purpose of this project was to protect the convicts from the bad influence of the recruits and to fully rehabilitate them. There were young people between the ages of 17 and 30 who had been working in the prison for the first time and were sentenced to prison for no more than ten years before committing the offense. One such institution was the penitentiary colony for women, which was established in March 1936 at the Walendow Manor (in 1946) by the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, in which approximately one hundred female prisoners resided. The Ministry of Justice paid for each of them the sum needed to cover basic living expenses. The colonists worked in the fields and on the farm, and in the winter learned to read, write, hand-work, sew.

Another example was a penitentiary farm colony in Targowa Górka, which ran there from 1934 to 1952. On the farm owned by the Ministry of Justice, prisoners were involved in the production of food for the prison.

Myrmex Indikos, pol. Indian ant - an alleged species of gigantic ants (according to Herodot's description, larger than foxes, but smaller than dogs). The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia. Gold was to be obtained by caravans made up of several camels in the heat of the day, when the ants were protected underground. The names of the streets and squares were originally of a topographical nature, that is, they informed about: Researchers propose two names for these toponyms - urban or plateonimy. S.
