Gideon Tallemant of the Raux

Gédéon Tallemant des Réaux (born October 2, 1619 in La Rochelle, died November 10, 1692 in Paris) - French writer.

He came from a family of Huguenski bankers, however, he became involved with the literary community and visited in Parisian salons. In 1657, he began to edit his Stories published posthumously in 1834-1835 (published in 1961), showing his contemporary times from the reign of Henry IV. These records were perfectly documented, full of verve and specific details, confirming the sense of observation and unusual vividness of the author's pen. Bibliography
