Elizabeth Eaton
Elizabeth A. Eaton (born April 2, 1955 in Cleveland) is an American Lutheran priest and ecumenist, superior of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), bishop of the Diocese of south-east Ohio. He graduated from the Harvard College of Music and Music at the College of Wooster. She then served in several Lutheran parishes in Ohio. Since 2007, she has been a bishop of the South-Eastern Ohio diocese, with approximately 75,000. faithful. In August 2013, during the 25th General Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, as the first woman in American Lutheran history, Bishop Elizabeth A. Eaton was elected Church Superior. She won the fifth round of the election, beating the current leader, Mark S. Hanson. Her husband, Conrad Selnick, is a presbyter of the Episcopal Church, having two grown daughters. Bibliography
