From June to September 1940 he was interned in the Lithuanian camp in Żagary. He was active in the Polish Independence Underground in the Lydian District of the Nowogródki District of ZWZ-AK. Among others, he was the commander of the team of the 6th company of the 2nd battalion of the 77th Infantry Regiment of the Home Army (from February 1944) and the deputy commander of the 3rd platoon of the 5th battalion of the 77th Infantry Regiment of the Home Army (from March 1944). He participated, among others, in combat operations in Gojcieniszki, Ejszyszki, Bolsiach, Rakliszki, Bieniakoniów, Dojlidy, Radunia and Ogrodniki, as well as in the battles for Vilnius. After the war, he was a veteran activist, he was the vice-president and treasurer of the Board of the Club of the Order of Virtuti Militari. He died on November 16, 2016 and was buried at the Cemetery in Rembertów.
