He studied in the field of educational and artistic pedagogy at the University of Opole. He graduated from the Film School in Łódź, where he graduated from the Animation and Special Effects Department at the Department of Photography. professional work His school etiquette "Hidden" received the Golden Pegasus - Grand Prix of the Animator Festival 2010 in Poznań. In 2012, he performed the film "Dróżnik", which was awarded at festivals in Krakow, St. Petersburg and Banja Luce. Piotr Szczepanowicz is also an editor and producer of the film "Ziegenort" from 2013, honored with many international awards, among others. at festivals in New York, London, Hamburg, Oberhausen or Espinho.

He co-produced special effects for "Pete and the Wolf" by Suzie Templeton, who won an Academy Award for Best Short Animated Film in 2008, as well as Kamil Polak's "Świteź", "Radostki" by Magdalena Osińska and "Magic Piano" Martina Clappa.

In 2014, Szczepanowicz became an expert of the Polish Film Institute.
