Marek Lassak
Marek Lassak (born July 11, 1948 in Bydgoszcz) is a Polish mathematician. Curriculum vitae
In 1971 he completed his mathematical studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Since 1971 he worked at the Higher School of Engineering in Bydgoszcz, after the transformations - since 1974 in the Technical University of Agriculture in Bydgoszcz, since 2006 at the University of Technology and Natural Sciences in Bydgoszcz. In 1975, he became a doctor at the University of Chisinau, habilitated in 1990 on the basis of his research on the Hadwig problem of covering, at the University of Wrocław. Since 1989 he has headed the ATR Mathematics Department, in 1991 he was appointed an Associate Professor, and in 2006 he received the title of Professor of Mathematics. In his research he deals with geometry and the theory of convex sets.
In the years 1981-1986 he was the President of the Bydgoszcz Department of the Polish Mathematical Society and a member of the Board of Directors of the PTM.
