Marek Karpiński
Marek Karpiński (born March 25, 1948) is a professor, computer scientist and mathematician, known for her research in algorithms and their applications, mathematical fundamentals, computational complexity and operational research. A graduate of I LO in Poznan. He studied at the. Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and Poznan University of Technology. He has conducted research and lectures at a number of European and American universities. in Berkeley, Princeton and Bonn. He was awarded a number of scientific awards.
He is currently a professor of computer science and mathematics and the head of the group of algorithms and computational complexity at the University of Bonn and an algorithmic section at the Bonn-Aachen Research School. He is also a founding member of the Bonn International Graduate School in Mathematics BIGS and the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics.
