Dietrich von Brandenburg, (born around 1320, died 1374) - Gdansk Home Commander 1348-1352, Commander of Toruń 1352-1374, diplomat, inspector of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order. Curriculum vitae
He came from a noble family in the county of Luxembourg, from 1340 in the Teutonic Order. In 1348 he became a home squad in Gdansk. In 1352, he was appointed a Komtur of Toruń from the appointment of the Grand Master Winrich von Kniprod. From 1360 he actively participated in the diplomatic missions of the Order. In the years 1372-1374 at the court of Charles IV of Luxembourg in Prague he represented the Teutonic Order in a border dispute with the Bishop of Warmia. He died probably after 1374, he was a communist of Toruń for over 22 years. Bibliography
