He belonged to the Brotherhood of the Rosary. During the persecution of Catholics in Japan, he was arrested on August 17, 1617 for having spent 3 years sheltering missionary Alfons of Navarrete. He was cut on October 1, 1617 with Andrzej Yoshida on the island of Takaboko at the entrance to the port of Nagasaki.
He was beatified in the group of 205 Japanese martyrs by Pius IX on July 7, 1867 (document dated May 7, 1867).
