Jnan Hansdev Adhin (born 1927, died 2002) - a Surinam writer and politician of Hindu origin who created in Surinam Hindustani and in Dutch. Recognized as one of the most important writers writing in sarnami.

In 1953, he developed a Hindi-Dutch dictionary, and in 1964 a textbook of Surinam Hindustani. He was involved in essay writing, drama, journalism as well as translations of Hindu literature. He was the organizer of cultural life and the minister of various offices, working for the Sinai Hindus. Bibliography
