Iwan Tewosian


Ivan Fiodorowicz Tewosian, owner Howhannes Tewosjan (Russian: Иван Фёдорович Тевосян, born January 4, 1902 in uuşy, March 30, 1958 in Moscow) is a Soviet politician of Armenian origin, deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR (1949-1953 and 1953-1956), member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (1939-1952) and the Central Committee of the Communist Party (1952-1958), deputy member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1952-1953).

After graduating from the 1918 trade school in Baku, he joined the RKP (b), 1919-1921 was the secretary of the Border Communist Party (Bolshevik) Committee of Azerbaijan in Baku. In March 1921 he participated in the suppression of the Kronstadt uprising, 1921-1927 he studied at the Academy Mining in Moscow, later he was an engineer at the "Elektrostal" factory. From July 13, 1930 to January 26, 1934, he was a member of the Central Control Commission of the WKP (b), holding positions in the industry and the people's defense industry commission of the USSR. In May-June 1937 he was the chief engineer. From June to October 1937, head of the Soviet Shipbuilding Industry People's Commissariat of the USSR and Deputy Commissar of the People's Commissar, from October 1937 to January 11, 1938, the first deputy of the USSR Defense Industry Commissioner. From January 11, 1939 to May 17, 1940, the People's Commissar of the Shipbuilding Industry of the USSR, from March 21, 1939 until the death of a member of the KC WKP (b) / CPSU. From March 15, 1953 to February 8, 1954, again the minister of the metallurgical industry of the USSR, at the same time since December 7, 1953 the chairman of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for metallurgy. From December 7, 1953 to December 28, 1956, deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, from February 8, 1954, chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers for Metallurgy, the coal industry and geology. From 30 December 1956 until the death of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR in Japan. 1946-1958 deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from 3 to 5 terms.
