I was the last emperor of China - the Polish title of the autobiography of Puyi, the last ruler of China before the establishment of the Republic and the subsequent puppet ruler of Manchukuo. It was published in 1964 in English by the publishing house Foreing Languages ​​Press in Beijing, while in Poland it was published by Łódzki Publishing House (ISBN 83-218-0745-3) in 1988. The translation from English was made by Jolanta Mach.

The book is based on notebooks written by Puyi in prison in the years 1950-1959. The text was developed by the journalist Li Wenda and reviewed and corrected by the writer Lao She, of the origin of Manjur, just like Puyi.

The book consists of two volumes:

Based on the autobiography of Puyi in 1986, the film The Last Emperor directed by Bernardo Bertolucci was filmed.
