Friars Minor Renewed
Friars Minor Renewed (Frati Minori Rinnovati) - Catholic congregation founded in 1972 as a Capuchin church with the intention of renewing the Franciscan spirit. In 1968, several Capuchins from southern Italy asked to be allowed to live according to the Rule of Order sine glossa ("without explanation"). From their place of residence they were known as the Fabriano Movement. In 1972 they were approved under the diocesan law by Archbishop Monreale Corrado Migno.
The Congregation now has about 50 friars in Italy (3 monasteries), Tanzania (1 monastery) and Colombia (3 monasteries).
