Avia - Aeronautica Industrial - a Spanish company based in Madrid producing aircraft, trucks, buses and tricycles. History

In 1923, engineer Jorge Loring Martinez set up an aircraft assembly plant in Madrid. After the war, it produced three-wheeled vehicles and later the delivery trucks. The pick-up trucks, double cab, minivan and minibus were known as the Granjero. Over time, trucks and buses were built, called Avia. In 1970, the company joined the Motor Iberica, which took control of the whole company in 1975. Avia's earlier vehicles retained the name Ebro-Avia. Leaves and minivans can be found throughout Spain today.
