Paul Burney Johnson Sr. (born March 23, 1880 in Hillsboro, Mississippi, December 26, 1943, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi) is an American politician, activist of the Democratic Party, lawyer, judge, father of politician Paul B. Johnson.

In the years 1919-1923 he represented the 6th District of the Mississippi in the United States House of Representatives. From 1940 until his death he was governor of Mississippi. On February 10, 1915, he married Corinne Venable. The couple had three biological children and one adopted daughter. Bibliography
