He graduated in physics from the Faculty of Physics at the Faculty of Physics in 1993. In 1998 he received his Ph.D. Transfer of electrons in reaction centers of photosynthetic systems in their three oxidation-reducing states (Andrzej Dobek). Habilitated in 2008. He works as an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biophysics. He conducts classes in molecular spectroscopy, biophysics of photosynthesis and basics of spectroscopy. Research interests of K. Gibasiewicz concern, inter alia, processes of light processing by biological systems. He published his works. in the American Journal of Physical Chemistry B and in the "Biochimica et Biophysica Acta."
