Gordon Audley


Gordon Vernon Audley (born April 20, 1928 in Winnipeg, Canada, October 12, 2012) is a Canadian speed skater, Olympic bronze medalist. Career

Gordon Audley's most successful career came in 1952, when he won the bronze medal at the Oslo Olympics in 1952. Only two Americans were ahead of him: Ken Henry and Donald McDermott. Ex aequo with Audley was taken by Norway's Arne Johansen. He also played in the Sankt Moritz games in 1948 and eight years later in the Cortina d'Ampezzo, but he was not in the top ten. In 1956 he also took part in the world championships in Oslo, but he finished last.

During the 1952 Olympics, he was a Canadian Patriot. Bibliography
