Zygmunt Gmitrzak (born October 18, 1904 in Witki, died July 3, 1964) is a Communist and trade activist.

The son of Kazimierz and Jozef from Makul's house. In the years 1923-1925 he was a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Polish Socialist Party in Warsaw. From 1944 to 1948 he was a member of the Polish Workers' Party. In the years 1944-1945 in the ranks of the People's Army. In the Polish United Workers' Party since 1948. In 1946 he was the commander of the ORMO platoon and then the head of the Criminal Department at the Prague-South Starost in Warsaw. In the years 1946-1948 he directed the reconstruction of the State Mint in Warsaw. From 1955 to 1957 he was a student at the Central Party School in Warsaw. He was in the trade union movement: from January 12, 1957 until his death, he was the secretary of the Central Council of Trade Unions (CRZZ).
