Sonny Monteiro

Francisco Xavier "Sonny" Monteiro (born 3 February 1926, September 20, 2002) is a Hong Kong swimmer, participant in the 1952 Summer Olympics.

Monteiro took part in the first Olympic Games for the Hong Kong team. He competed in the eliminations of three competitions: 100 and 400 m freestyle and 1500 m freestyle. In the elimination of the first competition he took the penultimate fifth place with a time of 1: 03,1. In the next two seasons, he was the last place in qualifying races (two-sixth). At 400 m it was time 5: 21.6, and at 1500 m 22: 26.7. In none of these competitions, however, has eliminated the elimination. Bibliography
