Milcjades (apologeta)

Milcjades - the only known early Christian writer of the first half of the second century, retor, one of the first apologists.

Probably born and raised in Asia Minor, some scholars consider him a disciple of Justyna Martyr. Although he was a prolific writer, none of his works have survived into modern times and are only known in the writings of later writers. According to the accounts of the later Fathers of the Church, he was the author of polemical writings directed against the montanists and valentines, treatises against the Hellenes and against the Jews, and addressed to the then Roman authorities of theology of Christian philosophy.
