Gajusz Memmiusz Kwirynus
Gaius Memmius Quirinus - plebeian ewe before 216 p.n.e. or before 202 p.n.e. Gaius Memmius Quirinus is known only from inscriptions on a coin, which on the obverse contains the text C. MEMMI. C. F. QVIRINVS and on the reverse: MEMMIVS. AED. CEREALIA. PREIMVS. FECIT.
The coin depicts the head of the god Quirin on the obverse, and on the reverse side, the goddess Cerera sitting in her right hand holds three ears of corn, the left has a kinkel, and under her feet there is a snake. The text states that Memmius, the son of Gaius, was the first eider to decorate Cerealia, which was celebrated at least in 216 BC. or in 202 p.n.e. Sources Bibliography
