Czefur


Chefur - a resettler from the southern republics of the former Yugoslavia (20th century). In Slovenia they are people who came from a land lying to the south or east of the river Kupa. They live in the district of Ljubljana Fužina. Total number of them is about 30 thousand. including 10 thousand. as illegally inhabited area of ​​Slovenia. This term is burdened with anti-Semitic connotations: the word is probably derived from Serbian and Croatian Čivut, ie Jew, and the ending -ur is pejorative. Czefur is a person who lives in the territory of a particular country and is not a member of the national majority. This term in the Slovenian dictionary appeared in 1991.

In 2009, a novel by Chefuri raus was created! Gorana Vojnović. The novel in the encyclopedia is a picture of urban subculture. Lubelskie Fužiny is also a Czech language (a mixture of Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, and other languages) that accompanies Mark's growing up and his identity-searching conflicts, rebellion against parents and confrontation with stereotypes. From the bitter humor of Marek's story, the fate of the Fužin inhabitants is emerging. In 2013, a film with the same title was made on the basis of the novel, directed by Marko Bulca. Bibliography
