Chuan Leekpai
Chuan Leekpai (Thai: ชวน หลีก ภัย, born on July 28, 1938 in the province of Trang) - Thailand's two-time prime minister (1992-1995 and 1997-2001).
A lawyer by education, in 1969 he was elected to parliament for the first time, later he worked in various positions in the government. In 1992, he took the office of prime minister for the first time, in 1995 he lost the elections, however in 1997 he returned to the position and stayed until 2001. He was the first prime minister of Thailand who did not take power as a result of military connections or aristocrats. Bibliography
