Scottiglia - Italian meat dish typical of southern Tuscany, especially Seggiano.
Scottiglia is a kind of stew made with mixed meats (optional: veal, beef, chicken, rabbit, pork, guinea fowl, pigeons, duck, turkey, goose, lamb, sometimes mutton). It is often served with wholemeal bread.
Dish comes from the village of Pescina and the Casentino Valley. He is very old, maybe Etruscan, pedigree. Due to the mixed composition, there are many variants and, depending on the place of preparation, can vary considerably with the taste and choice of spices and additions (eg wine, tomatoes).
