Main Directorate of State Mining and Metallurgical Works


The Main Directorate of the State Mining and Metallurgical Plant - the governing body of all mining and metallurgical plants in Poland. It was established in 1920, its seat was Warsaw. It was subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Minister was appointed by the Minister.

As of its inception, the management took over the administration of Małopolska salinas, coal mines, sulfur, copper. Soon, the State Petroleum Works in Lviv, Gas Pipeline, and Żupy passed into its management. In 1923 she took over the agendas of the liquidated Directorate of State Saline Works in Krakow and the Directorate of State Petroleum Works in Lviv.

In 1924, the salt industry was excluded from the Directorate, and in 1925 the entire Directorate was liquidated.
