Yukon Arctic Ultra
Yukon Arctic Ultra is a series of extreme racing events held every February in Yukon. They participate in the marathon, 100 miles, 300 miles, and 430 miles. The route can be crossed by mountain bike, on skis and on foot. Temperatures during the competition may fall below 50 degrees Celsius below zero, so the race is called by many of the most difficult in the world. The longest distance is from Whitehorse to Downsboro City on the Yukon Quest - the dog sled race. Maximum time is 312 hours (13 days). The longest runner (700 km) in 7.5 days. The event takes place since 2003. In 2015, the first Polish Pole Michał Kiełbasiński took part in the competition but he resigned 24 hours after take-off due to serious hands and feet frostbite.
