Süleyman Azad oğlu Vəzirov (Russian: Сулейман Азадович Везиров; born November 18, 1910 in Baku, died February 7, 1973) - Soviet and Azerbaijani politician, Hero of Socialist Labor (1944).

  • The son of Colonel Azadbəya Vəzirova, studied at the Baku Industrial and Economic School, then worked in the oil industry, 1929-1932 studied at the Mining Department of the Azerbaijani Polytechnical Institute. He worked, among other things. for oil extraction in Turkmenistan SRR. 1954-1959 Minister of the oil industry of Azerbaijan SRR, since 1959 Chairman of the People's Council of the People's Republic of Azerbaijan SRR, since 1965 Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Ministry of the SRR, since November 1970 Deputy Chairman of the Bureau of the Verkhovna Rada of Azerbaijan SRR. A member of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan and the Communist Party of Turkmenistan. Member of the Verkhovna Rada of the USSR 3, 5 and 6 terms and to the Verkhovna Rada of Azerbaijan SRR 4, 7 and 8 terms. Devoted scientific and technical activist of the Azerbaijani SRR.
