Broteochactas silves
Broteochactas silves - a species of Scorpion from the family of Chactidae.
Species and genus were described in 2014 by Wilson R. Lourenço based on 9 males.
A scorpion with a body length of 24 to 26 mm. The coloration is mainly yellow to reddish brown with a yellowish underside and legs. Granulation on the body and legs poorly marked. There are points and shallow furrows on the shiny Karapax, but no ribs. The pentagonal sternum is wider than the longer one. Combs have 7 to 8 teeth. Ribs on the collapse are poorly or moderately formed. On the ventral side of the fifth segment of the zaodłłoka there are several spiny-like granules. After 6 rows of granules, it appears on the toothed edges of the movable and immovable fingers of the leggings.
A neotropical scorpion, known only from the Brazilian state of Amazonas.
