He obtained a bachelor's degree in public administration and a master's degree in European law. In 2011 he was employed in the city office of Blagoevgrad. He became involved in political activities within the framework of the Bulgarian Citizens for European Development (GERB) and his youth organization. In 2012 he became deputy chairman of the European Democrat Students Association, affiliated to the European People's Party.

In the 2014 elections, he ran for the European Parliament from his party list. The mandate of the deputy took place November 24, 2014 in place of Tomisław Donczew. In the PE VIII term he joined the Christian Democrats.
