World Youth and Student Festival


World Youth and Student Festival - an international event organized by the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY), a leftist youth organization, together with the International Union of Students from 1947.

The sixth largest festival was held in Moscow in 1957. 34 thousand people from 131 countries participated in it. At this festival, the song "Moscow Nights" was promoted. The largest in terms of the number of participating countries was the thirteenth festival in Pyongyang, North Korea, in which 170 countries participated.
