Vilis Cimmermanis
Vilis Cimmermanis (born 31 December 1896, died 29 May 1936) - Latvian athlete, long-distance runner, Olympian. Represented by Rīgās Garnizona Sport Klubs and LSB.
Participant of the Olympic Games in Paris (1924). He ran in 500 and 10,000 meters, the first dropped out in the elimination race, the second did not finish. He went on to another marathon he did not finish.
23-time champion of Latvia. He won titles in the races at 800 m (1923), 1500 m (1920, 1922, 1923, 1925), 3000 m (1922, 1923), 5000 m (1920, 1921, 1922, 1923) 1923, 1922, 1923), one hour race (1922), 4 × 400 m relay race (1927) and cross country races (1920, 1921, 1922, 1923). Latvian record holder in 800 meters, 1000 m, 1500 m, 2000 m, 3000 m, 5000 m, 10000 m, 35 km, and in an hour and a Swedish relay race. National Championship medalist in speed skating.
Personal records: 5000 m - 15: 48,2 (1925), 10000 m - 33: 02,5 (1924). Bibliography
