Vasile Huţanu

Vasile Huţanu (born 1 June 1954 in Bucharest, February 24, 2014 in Sfântu Gheorghe) is a Romanian hockey player. A few days before his death he was awarded the title of the Romanian sports champion. His brother Gheorghe was also a hockey player. Club career

In the years 1968-1976 he was a player of Dinamo Bucharest and in 1976-1986 he played in Steaua Bucharest. With this second club he won the country championship eight times (1977-1978, 1980, 1982-1986) and the cup of Romania (1977-1978, 1980-1982, 1984-1986). Representative career

He and the Romanian team participated in the 1976 Olympics, where the team took 7th place and Huţanu played 5 matches and scored 1 goal. Death and funeral
