Mogens Jensen (born October 31, 1963 in Nykøbing Mors on Morsø Island) is a Danish politician and trade union activist and parliamentarian, in the years 2014-2015 Minister for Trade and Investment. Curriculum vitae

He trained at Morsø Gymnasium (1979-1982). In the years 1997-1999 he trained in a trade union management course in the city of Helsingør through the training center of the trade union organization LO.

He became involved in political activities within the Socialdemocrat. Between 1982 and 1985 he was secretary of education at the DSU, youth organization of this group. In the years 1985-1987 he worked as a consultant in educational organization AOF Danmark, then until 2005 he was a consultant in the union headquarters LO.

For the first time, the Social Democrats obtained a mandate from the Folketinget and successfully ran for re-election in the 2007, 2011 and 2015 elections. In the parliament he was the chairman of the Social Democrats. From February 2014 to June 2015, he served as Minister for Trade and Investment in the Second Government of Helle Thorning-Schmidt.
