Beam gun
Cow on the side
The beam gun, or "pepper-box", is a short firearm, equipped with 4-6 barrels. The pressure on the trigger caused the barrel to turn, the tap tension, and then the shot.
The first beam revolvers were constructed at the beginning of the 19th century after the invention of the hood lock. The most popular were in the 1920s and 1930s. Spirits were the most common weapon of 8-12 mm, designed for personal protection.
The emergence of revolvers with rotating cartridge drums in the mid 1930s resulted in the production of revolver bundles. Many of them have been re-engineered.
