Visvaldis Lāms (born on July 22, 1923 in Riga, died on August 28, 1992 there) - a Latvian writer.
He wrote socio-psychological novels from the life of the workers of the 1930s (Nemiera dunoša pilsēta - Anxiety and the tumult of the city of 1957), about the period of German occupation (Kāvu blāzma - In the light of the Northern Lights in 1958, published in 1989) and the post-war period (Visaugstākais amats - Highest dignity 1968). In his next works, among others Jokdaris un lelle (Doll and comedian 1972) and Trase (Route 1972) treated about the philosophical reflection on the place of man in history.
