Tiger with Champawat

A tiger from Champawat - the most famous of the Bengal tigers killing people at the turn of the 19th and 20th century in the Champawat district in the state of Uttarakhand in India. 436 animal deaths have been documented. The tiger was shot by the famous hunter of the great cats, Jim Corbett in 1907. It was the first of about 10 hunted man-eaters in Corbett's career. Studies on the body of the animal showed that it had completely destroyed two fangs, which could prevent hunting for its natural victims.
