Han Yong-un


Han Yong-un, pseud. Manhae (born August 29, 1879 in Hongseong, died June 29, 1944) - Korean poet, independence activist, Buddhist monk.

In 1919 he was one of the 22 signatories of the independence of Korea, which initiated the uprising against Japan. He created an innovative philosophical poetry as an expression of the author's reflections on human nature, and in 1926 he published a collection of poems, ŭi ch'immuk (His silence, the Polish translation of five of them appeared in Literature in the world 1992 No. 2).
